As Salaamu Alaikum,
Attending a Janazah (Islamic funeral) workshop offers valuable insights into preparing and performing funeral rites according to Islamic principles. The workshop seeks to educate participants about the spiritual and practical aspects of washing, shrouding, and praying over the deceased and the importance of compassion and respect during this sacred duty.
Understanding the Janazah process fosters confidence in fulfilling an essential religious obligation, strengthens community bonds, and ensures the deceased is honored appropriately. Additionally, it serves as a reminder of the transient nature of life, encouraging spiritual reflection and personal growth.

2025 Resilience Conference
Join us, in collaboration with Islamic Society of Greater Houston for the 2nd Annual Resilience Con in Houston, TX, February 14-16th, 2025. The theme of this year's conference is "The Sacred Journey From Slavery To Al Islam."
The conference will feature guest speakers from around the country who will share their knowledge on Muslim African American History, including the triumphs of overcoming oppressive practices and policies designed to inhibit the natural growth and development of the human being.
The conference will kick off with Jummu'ah in which Indigenous Muslim African American Imams will serve as Khatibs in over 24 masajid throughout the greater Houston area.
